Al Souza resides in Houston, Texas, where he has taught art at the University since 1992. Represented by major galleries throughout the country, Souza's time-consuming abstract compositional works are simply fascinating. These abstract works play off of the realistic themes represented in the partially completed sections of puzzles. Souza juxtaposes puzzle images to create a pun on ordinary objects or scenes found in life.
