Humberto Calzada | Available Works (pdf file)

Humberto Calzada was born in Cuba in 1944 and came to Miami in 1960 with his family. Calzada is perhaps the most celebrated of all the Cuban-American artists, having seen his works acquired by about thirty art museums. Since his first solo exhibition in 1975 he has had more than seventy-five more exhibitions at museums and galleries throughout Florida, Central and South America, as well as through-out the Caribbean region.

The Lowe Art Museum at the University of Miami published the 252 page book to commemorate his thirty-year retrospective exhibition at the museum in 2006.

His mystical and illusionary canvases place the viewer in a believable and yet totally imaginary world. We are truly honored to add this masterful painter to our distinguished stable of artists
